Stick a fork in this campaign, because it’s done! Marketers of the “all natural male enhancement” supplement have been sued for unproven claims.
A product like that is perpetually doomed to appear as though praying upon the consumer’s deep seated insecurities, but unsubstantiated claims and a false ‘double your money back’ return policy breach a very sacred trust.
I cringe to think about all the money that’s gone into this campaign- in fact, just last week after the news broke, I continued to see Enzyte ads on TV. The website has yet to address the proceedings. It’ll be interesting to see what happens…
It’s a perfect reminder as to why we need to maintain high ethical standards for ourselves and most of all our clients when creating marketing material. The public isn’t very forgiving of liars- especially when it comes to such personal products.
